Illegal Dumping

Idaho law prohibits dumping debris into the canal and onto canal access roadways. Violations include dumping of grass clippings, trees, household chemicals, motor oil, antifreeze, animal waste, and the like. These contribute to the possibility of flooding as well as contamination of the irrigation water and potential damage to irrigation equipment. Violators will be prosecuted.

For further details, view the Idaho statues on dumping.

Exclusion from Districts

Idaho law allows property to be excluded from an irrigation district under certain conditions.

For information regarding land exclusion, please refer to Title 43, Chapter 11 of the Idaho Code.
